Story Number 2 Chapter 1: The Supporter

Tracy and Robert are moving towards their new home, located in the remote town of Huntsville in Texas, in a huge van. Their son, Kevin is driving the vehicle whilst his parents are resting in it, eyes closed. His sister Lucy will follow them on the next day, as she has to attend her college at Dallas.

Tracy is 47, whilst Robert is 48. Both have been married for 25 years now. They have two children - Kevin (23) and Lucy (22). Kevin has just finished his Major from a college in Dallas, whilst Lucy is in the last year of her college. A sudden change of heart has made Robert decide to relocate from Dallas (Texas) to Huntsville. Tracy was surprised and reluctant initially but later she has agreed to her husband's decision. The plan is Lucy will stay in a girl's hostel in Dallas, whilst Tracy, Robert and Kevin will start living at their new home in Huntsville.

It's about 9 am in the morning. They are about an hour's distance from their destination town. Kevin feels a bit exhausted and thirsty. He wants to halt the journey for a while, by stopping at some decent motel on the highway. He glances at his parents. Both of them are in a deep state of sleep. Immediately he decides to let them sleep and not to stop the van. Afterall, he loves them so much.

He continues driving. At 10:05 am they reach Huntsville. His parents are still sleeping. He doesn't know the exact road to his new home, so he tries to wake up his dad: "Daddy....dadd....!"

Robert is still not awake. Kevin says a bit loudly: "Daaaaadddd..." Immediately Robert wakes up now: "What? Where are we?" He curls his body from bottom to top in an attempt to remove all the sluggishness caused due to a 90 minute sleep.
Kevin: "Dad, we are inside Huntsville. Now, where is our new home?"
Robert: "Take a left turn from the next crossroad circle. Then go straight."
Kevin: "Ok."

He takes a left turn from the next crossroad circle and notices a beautiful girl just passing by from his side of the car. "Oh she is such an Angel! Wow! Intersting town this 🥰...thank you Robert!!🙂" He murmurs within himself.

Robert: "Honey, Did you say something?"
Kevin: "No...nothing Dad..." He smiles.
Robert: "I know you said something about that young girl on her bike, who just crossed this van. Look son, I know better than any one else and you also know this fact. Look at me for a second, will you?"
Kevin is driving the car but still manages to look at his father: "Whatt?"

Robert: "Don't dick around in this town, son, okay? As what you have been doing at Dallas. Is that clear to you, boy?" His voice suddenly picks up vigor and he looks very strict all of a sudden.

Kevin: "What did I do?"
Robert: "I know you were looking at her. Just shut up and remember what I just said. I want you to get a good job as an Engineer instead of moving your ass behind all those females of the town...that's itt....!!"
Kevin realises how serious his dad is rightnow. So he agrees instantaneously: "Ok sir...if you say so...."

They are already like half a mile since he took that left turn. Robert asks his son to take a right turn from the next crossroad circle. He follows the instruction. In a few minutes, they arrive at a mansion, with a small garden and full of flowers.

Robert: "Stop here. So, Here is our NEW HOME, folks!!" His voice is loud and filled with a lot of joy.

Meanwhile Tracy has also woken up from the back seat: "Oh Wow! It's so beautiful, Honey!!"

Robert: "I always knew how much you Love flowers...chose this home because of that...it has a beautiful garden right in front ...and.. and there is a swing in the backyard too...so many flowers, birds, will be there around you, all day long, honey!" He leans back, looks at Tracy and kisses her on her lips. Kevin behaves as if he never noticed his parents kissing. He comes out of the van and starts unloading the luggage into the front gallery of their new home.

Tracy: "We can do a lot of romance tonight in this new abode. Right now, it's time for you to help your son, I guess...."
Robert is 48, but still so romantic when it comes to kissing his wife. He never missed an opportunity when she is alone. He senses they are alone now in the car. "One more lovely kiss, honey?! Plizzzz?"

Tracy: "Oh go away... You naughty boy...not now...start helping your son now...." Kevin knows now that it's time for work. He smiles at his beautiful wife, curls his body again to remove all the laziness and then gets out from the van.

He goes towards the main gate. Opens the lock there with his keys, then he moves towards the main door of the huge 5 million dollar mansion. He opens that too and starts helping Kevin in unloading the luggage.

Within an hour and a half, they have put all the luggage in different rooms of the mansion. Now it's 11:45 am. Tracy is busy cooking inside the kitchen, after sweeping off the floor. Kevin is still wanting to clean the home, but Robert tells him that's enough: "No more cleaning required, I guess honey..."

Kevin smiles and nods at him. He switches on the TV and starts watching music videos.

Robert is leaning on his relaxing chair, with eyes closed. He is just resting, not sleeping. He has taken a voluntary retirement from his job as a Senior cop in the police department of Dallas city. He wants to live a peaceful life now in the town of Huntsville with his family. Though being a cop he has been a person who has always loved "a laid-back lifestyle" instead of the chaotic ones which so many choose, these days. He is a 6'2" tall man, quite formidable from his looks, with a distinct caucasian flair. He treats people from all races equally and fairly. He has remained a loyal follower of Christianity and believes in living a modest, righteous, truthful life, No matter what. However of late, his inclination towards truth and his love for true people, has created some enemies for him, the untrue ones. He knows a few of them but one guy is there, whom he has completely misread, misinterpreted. That's Francis.

Francis is an outlaw in the city of Dallas. One can easily call him a mafia. He is into selling of drugs, illegally smuggled across the Mexican border into mainland USA. He is also into several other illegal activities like kidnapping and selling of young girls in the states of Texas and Arizona, highway robbery, money laundering, black marketing, etc. He is 29, still very young and has the aspirations of becoming the king of the mafia underworld. He wants all the riches of the world as soon as possible, come what may. So he is ready to murder, rape or rob anyone, anytime, anywhere. He thought he was unbeatable, until he met Robert.

In fact, it's because of Robert that his whole life has been shattered. Robert confiscated all the drugs, costing millions of dollars from his large garrage, 2 months ago and then burnt it into ashes. He then arrested Francis and made sure that he got a sentence of 15 years of strict improvement from the Judge of Dallas County.

The junky who always thought he was unbeatable, has been beaten - so very comprehensively, by a senior policeman!
But, instead of getting subdued by his capture, Francis is extremely furious from within. He wants retribution. He wants to get his revenge. He wants to kill Robert and his whole family.

Daily inside the prison, he follows a routine in a quite corner. Around 9 am, he closes his eyes for 3 to 4 minutes and then murmurs, "I am not going to leave you...NOO WAY....I'M COMING FOR YOU ROBERTTTTTT....YES, I'M COMING FOR YOU....NO MATTER WHATTTTT!" This daily routine of swearing has made his determination of killing Robert stronger
by each passing day. It's been quite a few months since he has been in prison but he hasn't forgotten even a single day to tell himself that he needs to kill Francis. He is waiting.....yaa....waiting for an opportunity to escape from there somehow. And he is quite confident that he will escape this time too, just like how he could escape, during his last 2 arrests.

Francis: "The walls of any jail inside this stupid fucking country...aren't strong enough to keep me within themselves....not even a single jail can do that....not even a single one....I will escape somehow..and the day I do that? It will be your last day, Robert!"
